This was one of the most important things I did for myself this year on my healing journey.  Months later, I still look back at our recorded session as well as the abundant info that she gives you afterwards often.  I would definitely recommend this to anyone.”

Did this really happen to me?

It is extremely common to not fully remember childhood sexual abuse due to dissociation - a self-protective response. Many people only become aware of it later in life when they feel more emotionally grounded and able to process what happened. Others may remember bits and pieces, but downplay the impact or try to push it away.

Choosing to gently turn toward these experiences and support the parts of you that were hurt is one of the most loving things you can do for yourself. Even if your mind doesn’t hold all the details, your body and subconscious have been carrying the impact, and it can show up in ways you may not immediately connect.

A very common concern is: “What if I’m making this up or remembering it wrong?”

This fear alone can stop people from seeking support. The truth is, you don’t need to have all the answers or figure out every detail in order to heal. What matters most is creating safety and compassion for the parts of you that do hold this experience.

Maybe You Have Noticed:

  • feeling “not good enough” or carrying deep shame

  • difficulty trusting others

  • people-pleasing or struggling to set boundaries

  • feeling disconnected from your body or emotions

  • Depression, anxiety or a constant sense of unease

  • emotional numbness or shutting down

  • challenges with intimacy or relationships

  • emotional triggers that don’t fully make sense

  • gaps or fuzziness in childhood memories

The Pillars of Healing

Together, we focus on the areas that make the biggest difference:

  • Creating a healing relationship with your inner parts
Comforting and supporting the parts of you that still hold hurt, anger, fear, or confusion, helping them release the burden they’ve been carrying, so they know it was never their fault.

  • Nervous system healing
Restoring a sense of safety in your body, expanding your capacity to manage stress, and building resilience so you can navigate triggers with greater ease.

  • Emotional regulation & expression
Learning to feel, process, and express emotions safely in the present moment, so feelings don’t get stuck or overwhelm you.

  • Releasing old, trapped emotions & healing shame
Clearing emotions that have been held in the body since childhood and addressing the universal wound of shame, so patterns that have shaped your life for years can finally release.

Rachel Hope, emotional healing practitioner offering online Inner Child Healing sessions

I’m Rachel Hope, and since 2017, I’ve helped hundreds of clients release old trapped emotional pain and create a healing relationship with the parts of themselves that still carry hurt. Many of the clients I work with are survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I bring deep understanding and compassion to this work through my own childhood sexual abuse healing journey, which began in 2014 when I started remembering what happened to me.  To learn more about my story, please visit the About page.

My approach is gentle, intuitive, and designed to support lasting transformation (not just insight) by addressing the subconscious roots of limiting patterns in a way that is safe and non-retraumatizing, helping clients reclaim self-worth, safety, and freedom.

What a Session Is Like

Sessions take place over Zoom (or by phone if you prefer) and are 90 minutes long, with extra space so we always finish feeling good - you and your inner child.

This is gentle, deep inner child work designed to heal childhood trauma at its subconscious root without retraumatizing you. We always go at the pace of your inner child, and neither of you ever need to share anything that feels uncomfortable.

During a session, we may:

  • Connect directly with your inner child to provide comfort, validation, and safety

  • Explore beliefs and patterns formed in childhood, like “I’m not good enough” or “I am not safe.”

  • Do emotional clearing using the Body Code, a gentle but profoundly effective modality for releasing trapped emotions - especially shame, fear, anger, anxiety, or depression - that have been affecting you in the background

  • Develop a personalized plan for nurturing your inner child between sessions

  • Explore tools and practices to help you support yourself, find peace in your body, and navigate triggers with more ease

After your session, you’ll receive a detailed follow-up email with insights, guidance, and personalized suggestions. Sessions can also be recorded if you’d like a copy to reference later.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don’t remember much from my childhood?

That’s completely okay. Many clients don’t have clear memories. You don’t need to force or figure anything out. Just come with an open heart and mind. Your subconscious knows what you're ready to heal and will bring it forward in the perfect way. You might hear an inner voice, sense the presence of your inner child, or even see images or memories you haven’t thought about in years.

Will I have to talk about painful or traumatic memories?

Your inner child will bring up whatever they feel safe sharing, but you never need to share anything with me that feels like too much to share. While a specific memory may come up, it tends to be the experience in general rather than every nitty gritty detail. You have already been through the experience once before as a child and now you have much more strength and resilience to support your inner child. Your subconscious will only bring up what you are ready to process, and I will be there to support you every step of the way. I focus on helping you to nurture your inner child rather than talking about the abuse itself.

How is this different from talk therapy?

Talk therapy works mainly with the conscious mind. It can be helpful for insights and learning coping tools, but it usually doesn’t get to the root of the issue since the conscious mind only governs 5% of our life. We start with a short heart-brain coherence meditation to help strengthen the connection with your subconscious where the inner child lives. This way we can access the subconscious roots of self-worth, confidence, and limiting patterns that keep repeating. Most of the session is spent actually dialoguing with your inner child, not just talking about what happened. You are the one who is reparenting yourself, talking directly to your inner child. I simply model compassionate words and offer guidance in a flow that helps them to feel seen, acknowledged, loved and supported.

What if something comes up I don’t want to look at or might not be true?  How do I know I am not making it up?

If something big comes up such as a repressed memory of abuse, it will usually come with felt body sensations that you’re unlikely to just create. The body always remembers, even if the mind blocks things from conscious awareness. At the same time, I recommend letting go of being a reporter looking for the facts. Whatever your inner child brings up, it’s important to meet them with compassion, love, and acceptance and not worry so much if it’s 100% accurate. Memories and childhood interpretations of events can be fluid. And I’d like to add, your inner child is so intimately connected to you. They are you. For some people, this presence feels almost indistinguishable from their adult self, and for others, it feels like a distinct younger version of them. However it shows up for you is perfect. Trust that your subconscious is showing you what’s ready to be healed.

Will one session be enough?

Even one session can create a powerful shift for the specific intention or issue we focus on. And because people are layered and complex, we usually have multiple roots behind our adult challenges, which is why ongoing support can be so helpful. That said, I always aim to empower you, even in a single session, so you leave with new tools and ways to connect with yourself that continue to support you far beyond our time together.

About Rachel Hope

I’ve been devoted to mind-body healing for over 20 years, beginning with my master’s degree in holistic nutrition. Since then, I’ve completed over 500 hours of training in energy and bodywork, a one-year counseling certification, and countless hours supporting others on their emotional healing journeys through workshops and one-on-one sessions.

My own path deepened in 2012 after a trip to Peru, where sacred plant medicine ceremonies began revealing repressed childhood trauma I had no memory of. That experience opened the door to deep inner child healing which has changed everything for me. I now understood why it had been so hard for me to value myself and speak up. Within two weeks of starting my own inner child healing journey, I developed a new mama bear energy within myself that allowed me to start setting boundaries and standing up for myself. I just knew I had to bring this life-changing work to others, and I started with workshops.

Today, I guide others through this gentle but powerful process to help them reconnect with their inner child, rebuild self-worth, and create a relationship with themselves that feels safe, loving, and whole.
